    screen dimming if i do not touch the touchpad...

    after about 30 seconds the screen dims to a lower level , how can i change this so that it stays on the same brightness level ?

    You can change it on Power Option - Advanced settings

    i do not have the dim option ?!

    HAve you tried a differnet power plan? Also do you have a dedicated video card or integrated graphics?

    Same for other power plans.....Samsung x-360 laptop

    Check the bios and see if there is an option there for it.

    Also check to see if maybe a Samsung utility might be installed that is causing that.

    Go to the Intel Graphics settings (easiest way is usually to right-click on your desktop and hit "Graphics Properties") and check under the Power options. Some laptops do have a "feature" similar to AMD's "VariBright" that dynamically changes the display brightness.
