so i got my sd card (4gb) today.. plugged it in (no its not on "locked) and my "computer" (where u see all drives) crashed.. i restarted it and then i saw the sd card. I tried to right click it but it loaded too long and it got "no reaction" state.. so i killed explorer.exe once more. I removed it and plugged the sd card in again.. however after some trys i got asked to formate the sd card. i said yes.. after 10 minutes the format windows appeared.. i clicked format.. after 10 minutes it told me it couldnt be formated. Then i gave it to my father. He could format it with his mac to ntfs format. Now i plugged it in again.. same as before, laggy, not formatable, doesnt work.. also now it tells me the stick only has 200mb of capacitiy.. it should have been 4gb (before the mac format it told me the right size).
Also computer managment -> disk managment
doeskt worn: it keeps on "connection to virtual disk".. until it gets "not reacting" anymore and i have to kill it.
any ideas? :/
thx

What computer do you have? Are you running the most current drivers for the card reader?

can you try other SD card and see if it locks up as well?
-
its not locked :/
-
You might just have a problem with that particular SD card. Can you get another one of the exact same model?
-
What jack means is does the computer locks up, that is, crashes with other SD card.
-
no it doesnt crash with other sd´s
and on my father laptop (mac) it works.. also in virtual machine with xp.
and no cant get exact the same one again :/ -
