I use both thunderbird and firefox as default applications
I've done some research to see whether I should switch, except the descriptions tend to be vague...

Can someone help me with this?

    Thanks :)

Yes, the descriptions are vague. I think it integrates the two pretty well, and there is really only one downside: updates to Firefox and Thunderbird will take longer to reach SeaMonkey. It's minor, but it might be a big deal to you.

I say try it out, you have nothing to lose... ;)
