This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    security update problem

    I currently own an older hp pavilion multimedia laptop running windows xp sp-2. I have never had any software problems with it until awhile ago, i noticed that it was trying to install the same security update every time i turned the computer off. I don't know what to do about this can anyone help?

    you might check with MS TECH NET,, i know i've seen a way to prevent an update from installing,, but that was a year or 2 ago.....

    just try searching technet and see if you do anygood
