i don't know if this is possible in windows but i want to setup my profile folder as a separate partition while having the same file paths as before. so i have a theory that might work but cannot test yet

if i set the mount point for the other partition as the old path for the profile folder and copy the files from the profile to that path, will this work?

    thanks

    in my case,
i physically just move the "documents, videos, etc -all folders under my user folder" to another partition
VIA location from the properties tab of each folder
    everything works fine
