    well i set firefox as my default internet browser.
    i dont want it to be, now my shortcut to internet explorer erased and replaced it with firefox, how do i change this fueature to deafult settings like it use to be?

    Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Programs -> Make Default

    Or go the "default programs" page - that should have a browser opion too.

    (Its either in the right hand column in your start menu or under control panel)

    For Vista that is.

    You can even do this from within the brower's settings that you'd like to make default.
