how do i find out my incoming and out going server names? because i have NO idea.

AOL is where i have my e mail account

Remember this stuff
your server type is IMAP (not POP)
server name “imap.aol.com (no quotes)
user name [email protected] (use your real one)
port 143 works for me it is the default
Go to tools/accounts settings, bottom left “add account” follow wizard should be straight forward if problem post back. Good luck.

still didnt work, said something about the smpt? server couldnt connect. my default is port 110 does that make a difference?

I know 143 works I will go thru the wizard see what i can figure.

I messed up it has been a while I never gave you the out going sever this should fix and if you want to try 110 do.
smtp.aol.com that is why it did not work. -

thanks i got it working now. Thanks again. i set it to use default outgoing server(smtp) and it worked fine. i did switch the port to 143 as well, left the out going port on default.

This is a pretty slick E mail client program. I like how it shows you new messages on the bottom of the monitor where you can actually read them.
