This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     simple paint program that supports scanners

    I normally use Paint.NET , but it does not support my scanner , a Canon lidl 35 , just a nice easy program, free would be nice.

    I know there are a few in the free software section, but i dont want to install half a dozen apps.

    PS. I use Vista32

    Just tried it the scanner/aquire is blanked out, but my scanner tests as working in control panel/scanners and cameras

    If you have MS Office, you can use the scanner application there and transfer it to whatever paint program you're using.

    I managed to get it working, you cannot scan within a paint program, you have to use Canon own scanner software and it transfers the image to the selected paint application.

    It works anyway.
