There is a way but for this to work, i prefer you have CD drive AND DVD Burner. Put the game disc in and put another (blank) disc in. Then get a program called "NERO" and do COPY Disc. then select the original source (the game disc) and destination (the blank disc). then there you go!,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but IF you think this is "COMPLICATED" then there is an ALTERNATE method. Aren't you lucky? Haha. Joke. 2nd Way: Get "ALCOHOL120%" software. After you got that, run the program, insert the game disc in. If the game autoplays, then QUIT! secondly, there should be an option to the left saying "CREATE ISO", click on it. Select the GAME DRIVE and watch as it makes an ISO. After the ISO file is created, BURN THE ISO! And your game is backed up.

    There you go, Enjoy

Make images of the discs, thats what I do for all my games that needs the disc. Not only does it prevent the disc to wear out, as well as the optical drive, it also decreases loading times and loud disc loading noises!

Using Nero, Alcohol 120% and other programs is how to do it. Alcohol 120% costs money for a license, so if you don't want to spnd money, Nero is often free(included with most optical drives) you can use that to make the image disc. Then you can use a free program called Daemon's Tools to load up the image.

WinISO is also a good program. I'm not sure if its free, but I think it is either a shareware or has a trial lock.

ok cool. now what about the newer games? I know some purposely have bad sectors on the disk that have to be there to confirm its the orgional disk.

Yea newer games don't really work that well. They have all these cd protection stuff around it. I can't tell you more because of legal issues.
