i have a client who has always used thunderbird. i dont use it myself so maybe im missing something stupid here..
he said this just started last night but never happened before. he has 2 computers both with thunderbird on them and used comcast for his email account. both are set up to go through comcast. the issue is when he checks his mail on either of them the mail he reads is gone after that from comcast. also if he reads a new mail on his desktop he can not pull it up on his laptop after this because the messages are then missing from comcast???
why would the mail be missing? does thunderbird remove the mail from the server after checking or reading it??

nevermind i see the option for it now.

He should be using IMAP instead of POP3. POP3 downloads the message from the server onto the computer using Thunderbird and afterwards the message is deleted from the server. The first Thunderbird client will download the message, so the other will not get the chance to obtain it. IMAP, on the other hand, will leave a copy on the server.

there is simply a option to leave the message on the server with pop3
some thunderbird help
