i'm running on vista. everytime after i installed a codec pack (k-lite or vista codec pack), not all the times but sometimes i get no sound at all when playing the movies (not even the normal windows sounds)..

it mostly happens after when i did a long "pause" on the movie and then "play" again. then no sound at all anywhere.

i went to properties for the sound card and it displays as working properly. i disabled and re-enabled the sound device and still no luck unless i restart the computer. i've noticed once the media player showd that the sound is being used by another device so it can't play properly and tells me to close. but i don't get which other device is using it as i'm using only windows media player 11

anyone knows where's the problem? :(
