when i run spybot on vista it will stop after abit and say that i should look into the spybot folder /includes/trojans etc.so i push ok and it still runs until it finishes, once its finished it says there is nothing needed to be fixed(or wotever it normally says when it didnt pick anything up)

i look into the spybot folder (includes/) and seen that it does say trojan along with other things like dialer, malware, malwarec etc.i guess these are the things it looks out for?i dont know. so if anyone could enlighten me lol

Spybot has a list of items that it checks for in its scans, so its definition files likely have listings for each class of problem that it checks. If the scan itself doesn't find anything, you have nothing to worry about, but it's strange that it advises looking in the spybot folder.

Just to be safe, have you done an A/V scan recently?

get another spyware program such as adaware or spysweeper. see if those can remove the problem. if not, uninstall spybot, reboot, and reinstall it. see if that helps.

When you first start up SpyBot S&D for an ad-hoc scan, there should be a Search for Updates button. Be sure to do that to ensure that you have the most current version and the most current lists of threats. Then scan.
