    svchost has something to do with norton right? I uninstalled norton but there's still always like 8 svchost.exes running in the background of my computer. anyone know what's up with that, or how to get rid of it?>

    Well norton does use services, so it would probably add 1 or 2 extra svchost.exe; but it's also used for many other things.
