to chrome. and now it opens to a full screen i have mouse scrolling etc.. i simply installed both and open each with notebook and copied over the settings to chrome.. seems to work fine.. sweet just thought id let you guys know

chrome does seem slower though than iron for some reason pages just dont load as smooth as with iron. they just flash up with iron with chrome they still take a second to come up but either way still faster than ff3 imo. but after running them both side by side for sure iron is just a bit faster

Iron is using the latest version of Webkit and V8. Chrome isn't.
Chrome opens to a full screen...just maximize and it remembers.

it refused to remember it for me. i tried a whole ton of times and it refused to do it.. and did chrome have mouse scrolling feature when you pushed the middle button?? i copied most of the files over from the program directory as well.. now i can use the mouse in chrome??

have to say i think ill stick with iron for a while. i killed all stuff that goes to google in chrome including the update service etc.. but im still wondering why iron uses v8 and the newest webkit and chrome doesnt yet?

strange though iron is using more memory for the same web pages than chrome is.. one page is almost 3000k more on the same page exactly

something about chrome feels off though to me.. lol not sure what it is.

almost 5k more on this notebook review page: and with v8 version 1 benchmark chrome got a 5163 and iron got a 5892 v8 version 2 5283 in chrome and 5691 in iron

also mcgrady i was told by someone on iron that both use v8 not just iron. also why does it still say beta in chrome on the logo on the new open tab?? i thought this was a final version?

Yeah, both use V8...they are both from the open source code Chromium...and my Chrome doesn't have the beta tag anymore...

As far as memory usage is concerned, Iron's source is different than Chrome's. They heavily modified and added new features to it.

anyway to swap the source code from iron over to chrome.. just curious.. my wife is insisting she wants chrome and not iron because she has never heard of them and she knows who google is.. she does all of her business and banking online and i personally dont want her using chrome with it sending anything to anyone..

also how can i setup chrome to remove history when i close it down?? is that possible
