AFAIK Norton is produced/published by Symantec. You might have the corportate edition installed, I have the Symantec anti-virus installed as part of my university's software package. I can't comment on it being better/worse than nod/kapersky.

The results from av-comparatives.org speak volumes about Anti-Virus programs! Their tests are comprehensive & cover known and unknown threats.

The results of their November 2006 roundup show Symantec Norton AV to be excellent (98.13%) for known threats, but woeful (15%) for new threats.

    see for yourself:

    Known Threats.

    New\Unknown Strains.

Personally, I find NAV to be a resource hog! but whatever floats your boat ...

    :)
