have any of you used system mechanic to tune up the registry etc?

I've been using it for a few months now, and sometimes i'll get some BSOD about new hardware even though I don't have new hardware installed. Could this be because of a registry error?

i have tried system mechanic pro 5, used it mainly to clean up the registry. haven't faced similar problem. however, IMO, it's always to good idea to backup your registry before start a clean up, that way, if something goes wrong you can restore it.

currently i am using tuneup utilities 2006, does similar funciton as sys mechanic. you can try that too.. :)
