I'm going to college this fall. I have a nice little HP laptop, and a rather nice tablet to go with it...however, I'd like to be able to write on my tablet, and have the notes on my computer in something akin to a word document, except in handwriting...I'm not sure this is possible, but hey, it never hurts to ask, right? Also, I'm running Vista, if that helps...or hurts...
I'm willing to spend some money on a good program, but I'd really rather not have to buy any new hardware.

Um I don't really understand the question (English not my first language, sorry). From what I understand, you meant to ask what program to use to be able to save handwritten notes?

I've used a tablet PC before, and Microsoft OneNote and Word does the job to save my notes.

Take a look at the links in my signature for the Note Taking article and Tablet reviews. Those should be a good start for you.

One Note will work, but the handwriting recognition is innacurate. You will write: "Word" and it will come up "Wood" or "Wool". Its a pain to use and then you constantly have to correct it (which often takes some time) and isnt good for when your taking notes. But in the Microsoft Experience Pack, there is a program like Paint (just more in detail and tablet enabled). There, you can choose a Pencil under drawing tools and just write on the blank white screen. No Handwriting Interpreting. If you want you can upload a picture of a lined paper, so its mor like a notebook if you want.

Either way, i recromend that software for the other things it does also.
