    Hey
I used a patch to tweak my tcpip.sys to open more half connections to speed up my downloads in utorrent. After a restart I could not connect to the internet, so I unpatched the tcpip.sys.
After restarting still I couldnt connect to the internet.

I copied tcpip.sys from a friend PC which also had Vista-64.
Now although my net works, my systems keep getting bluescreens which say that tcpip.sys is curropt.

How do I rectify this? I would had used system restore but I did not create any restore point.

It woun't speed up downloads, but it will speed up the connection time.
Well, it's not corrupt anymore. It's because of the patch. I've had the same issues as you had.

    I haven't got a single idea, sorry.
It makes no sense, honestly. By the way, have you considered that the tcpip.sys file was to be updated and using an old file may have caused the BSOD?
I can send you mine just to check, but I'm unable to do so. Mine is around 1.13 MB

try again to recopy the file under safe mode, if it does not work then u might consider to perform a windows repair, this will keep ur current prog/apps intact. Might need to reactivate.

    cheers ...
