I have MS Office 2003 Student and Teacher Edition on my laptop. I'm really considering reformatting the laptop, because it's gotten slow and I never completely got rid of the bloatware Dell put on it. If I do reformat, will reinstalling it on this same machine count as one of the three installs they allow? It says you can install it on three machines. My parents should be getting a new desktop soon, and they want to be able to install it on there (and they're prone to needing reformatting fairly often)!
    Thanks for your responses!

I believe it would. I had a similar problem. I kept reformatting my old laptop and installing it, once i hit the maximum number of installs, I got this error message saying that I had to call MS within a certain number of days. I called them and explained that its the same hardware, just been reformatted several times. MS was very understanding and reissued my license.
