hey fellows,.. s there ny way to power off the laptop screen like one we do in desktop monitor.??
.. or is it a wrong place to put a hardware stuff..

power off for what purpose? Under what conditions would you like to do this?

does your XPS have DCP? if it does... open it, go to Display and devices, Customize hot keys, and create a hotkey Toggle Displays Off/On (mine is mapped for Fn - D)

on my notebook FN + F6 turns the backlight off (monitor is still on though)

Some laptops have an Fn key combination.
