    recently my hotmail account when open in firefox wont let me click a darn thing, forcing me to use internet explorer to check my email.

    when i click on my inbox or a message in my inbox, it just sits there as if i havent clicked a thing. any ideas what it could be?

    I face the same problem sometimes, reloading the page solves the problem for me. Are you using the latest version with required plug-ins?

    Did you disable javascript in FF3? If you did, then it could give you problems.

    Tools -> Options -> Content

    I don't have this problem with FF3.

    It does certainly sound like a JavaScript/Script issue. Could easily be NoScript if you are running that add-on extension.

    Try starting Firefox up in safe mode to see if it works with add-ons disabled.
