Click on check if port is forwarded correctly, then report back what that says. And If you actually have 100mbs upload, I SERIOUSLY ENVY YOU

I never got port forwarding to work. What I suggest you do is enable uPnP in the settings.

I doubt you have 100Mbps upload speed. What's the speed that your ISP advertises? 10/1Mbps? 2Mbps/384Kbps? 20/20Mbps?

Pick your router. Then it will take you to a program guide. Select utorrent and follow the instructions.

Just look on the bottom of your router. There's probably a sticker on there or some kind of ID. There was on my old linksys router.

Usually a port around 60K is good

Care to explain? I've never changed my uT settings and for the longest time, it's been working fine. And I have that uPnP enabled. Why disable it then?

@OP: I'm using port 31284 and I'm on a Linksys router, if that helps. lol. IIRC, I just hit the random port button and it just worked.

He is using port forwarding to hasten up Utorrent speed. Routers tend to stop certain ports. So when it stops certain ports(like the one you posted) Utorrent speeds gets slower

Have you check if your torrent ports get connected?

You need to open your Linksys interface and select gaming and applications and enter your port and static address. Also, click on security and uncheck Block Anonymous Internet Requests

A router that chokes my uTorrent speed is worse than a secure but useless one.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that. I just connect, download, and seed. It downloads at 'optimal speeds' -- the speed limit of my internet connection, which is 1280 kbps [which is translated to 160 KB/s]. I never really minded any settings and AFAIK I just hit that random button, checked, and it said the port is OK. Voila.

@Baserk: Aside from doing my ISP connection settings, I've never changed my router settings. So I'm assuming this [see attached image] has been my setting for, like, ever. Is it what you're referring to? So is that setting 'good enough' [secure]?

Damn I always forget to Multi-quote. I always hit that single 'Quote' button instead lol.
