one of my laptops will not boot up any more and I get this blue screen with "unmountable_boot_volume"...

can I still salvage the laptop by just replacing the hard drive???

the recovery disk that came with the laptop doesnt work anymore cause the motherboard was replaced during warranty work by toshiba...btw its a toshiba a75-206
