i select the partition I want which is local d, but it says it needs to be installed where the driver was formatted to NTFS. What do I do?

Format your D drive to NTFS? It should give you the choice to format during installation. If you don't have any important files on your D drive, just format it to NTFS. Otherwise you might want to conver it using the command:
convert D: /fs:ntfs
in command prompt. -
i did the command one it says enter current volume lable for this drive. what's that?
