If I downgraded my laptop from Vista to XP, and get the upgrade disc & drivers, can I upgrade directly to Windows 7, or do I have to go to Vista and then do the upgrade?

    Thanks.

Depends what you mean by "upgrade".

You cannot do an upgrade install from XP to 7, but you can do a clean install with an upgrade license from XP to 7.

yer you can use the upgrade disc to go from xp to 7 but you will have to do a clean install which is the best option anyway...
