I bought a laptop with a 64-bit processor but didn't get around to upgrading to 64-bit Vista until now. If I upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit, will I lose all my data? Should I make backups? Thanks!

Yes, back up your data first.

Done. It appears that my data kept on D drive made the carryover with no ill effects. I guess only the drive with the OS on it needs to be wiped?
