Can someone tell me the process? (My search-fu is weak).
If a guy has a computer pre-installed with say Vista-Basic or -Home Premium, what is involved in upgrading to Vista-Business?
Also, how much disk-space does a bare install of Vista (any version) take?
Thanks!

Anytime Upgrade is available in certain countries, so you can use it to purchase a higher edition electronically and do an upgrade with it. Another alternative is to buy the upgrade edition off the shelf and upgrade it.
Bare installation of Vista takes about 10-15GB (clarification needed). -
Be advised that going from Vista 32-bit to Vista 64-bit, if you are so inclined, may require a full install from Vista, or an upgrade from Win XP. Here is one explanation.

- use the upgrade anytime option as somebody has mentioned. This can do an inplace upgrade with very little effort required from your end. Of course you'll need to go through a purchase prrocess online.
- If you are willing to do clean install a better option is to get a oem Vista Business disk.
Also Vista takes roughly 5gb in bare form, but note that initially when you install it, it might be as high as 10gb...because it allocates space for hiberate, a system restore point or two, large space allocated for pagefile etc.
