    I have tried a number of free and trial-ware programs but none of them will read the smart info from my new "western digital 500gb external usb driver"

    any help will be appriciated

    hdtune, show no smart or temps on any of my sata 3 hdd`s 1 is external usb.

    I have tried so many, hard to list.
