I replaced my uxtheme.dll with the patched .dll. But now i can't figure out what is next. I know this is a very noob question but i search and search and cannot figure out how to install the skin packages. I am at deviantart.com downloading the windows themes but i cannot figure out where they go or how to install them. It seems they need to end in the ".theme" extension per where the other window themes are stored? Any help or links that can be provided would be greatly apreciated. Thank you all.

Have a read at some posts in my theming thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=52791

When you download a theme for styleXP its a .theme file once the uxtheme.dll is applied you can click the .theme file and it will install automatically.

If all done right, you can right click on desktop>properties>appearance and choose the theme.

Just run this(if it's unpatched), then when you download a visual style (usually in a .zip or .rar), extract it somewhere, and double-click on the .msstyle file.

    A bunch here.

what you need to do after you have patched your uxtheme.dll is to go to deviantart.com and search for Visual Styles (Somewhere under Customization> Windows).
I would then suggest that you download and unzip your visual styles to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes, because then windows will be able to read those visual styles from the folder when you select desktop properties.
