    Hi,

I just did a reinstall of XP to get rid of the junk. All is well but before when I used the volume buttons there was a on screen display of the the volume in green on the left side. How do I get that back?

    Thanks!

If you go to start/controlpanel/sound and audio devices

You will find a show volume on taskbar box. Just select that and you should have volume control on your taskbar.
