    is there any drivers that downclock gpu when it's not used by a full screen 3d application.

    i'm currently using 176.37 drivers for my 8800M GTX.

    the gpu temps are constantly 80 C , 177F.
    in vista i was hovering at 50-60 C .


    anyone help??

    You can modify the power manager feature (or enable it if disabled) of your Nvidia graphic card.

    What is set to it be disabled when I am plug-in to enjoy the full power of my GPU without any slow down what so ever, and have it enable automatically when on battery mode so that it does not affect my battery life.
