tried some video converters downloaded from the web. They are either full of advs or they give super large files which does not make sense to me.
10MB original video file turns out to be 4GB or 5GB. I think there must be some underlying problems
Any advised video convertor? That is free or at small price
In fact I am using virtualdub that they do not support MP4 so I have to attempt to change the formats...

A couple of free ones i use to convert my Anime from 1080p or 720p to 360p with burn in subs when needed for viewing on my tablet as the higher the resolution the more power is used to decode it, Vidcoder is the best, but 10bit and hevc can cause a lot of crashes.
I have tried all the paid ones, and the free ones seem the best to me.

Also Video Enhancer 30 day trial can upscale video and works quite well, but you need to install a codec like k-lite or xvid.
