i have been running vista 64 for a few months now but i am sick of trying too fix movie maker. The movie maker does not recognize the codecs that i installed. Adobe premier 3 also is very very slow on my machine as well. so my question is what video editing programs are best too work with vista 64 and can meet my video editing needs

Have you attempted to make the programs XP compatable instead? There's not that many programs in Vx64

Sorry don't know - I just use Windows Movie Maker and bit of Premiere, not many 64-bit Vista workers here. :( I'm on Vista 32-bit.

try download Movie Maker 2.6 lastest version link at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...72-328e-4df7-8f9d-068fc0f80cfc&displaylang=en

try visit Vista 64 forums stuff link at http://www.start64.com/

you might need some kind of plug-in codecs from there.

You do not need ANY programs specific for 64-bit to edit video. All of the 32-bit ones will work just fine. Your codec problem is because you are trying to use 64-bit editing software with 32-bit codecs, or 64-bit codecs with 32-bit editing software.
