is there a video player that let's you play a video but let's you make the resolution of the video bigger with out sacrificing quality. i use window media player, realplayer and gom player and i watch videos at least at 150% the regular resolution of the video but it sacrifices quality.please make some suggestions.

I've used winDVD9 ultra to upscale DVD to HD - works a treat.

i'm looking for a player that plays avi,mp4,wmv, etc and other sorts. thanks for the suggestion though

All (most?) video players upscale. Whenever you go to fullscreen mode that's exactly what happens. I doubt any of them sacrifice quality, rather they show that the quality wasn't there to begin with. This is especially true with highly compressed formats like WMV. You might want to give VLC a try, it has filters available to hide faults, such as Gaussian Blur and deblocking.
