    virtual keyboard not showing up in mozilla firefox with surface pro 3 ?

    in mozilla firefox ,the virtual keyboard does not show up automatically , i have to push the button of the keyboard to bring it up, very annoying

    is there a solution for this ?

    The keyboard only show up automatically in metro app, for win8.1 tablet .

    Actually, that isn't entirely true, in some programs, it will pop up, in the latest version of Opera, it does pop up. I'd say it's more a matter of programs written for the desktop not taking into account the possibility of a touch display.

    Hey, I have a Samsung Android tablet and the keyboard pops up when using Firefox so something else is going on here.

    It's the Windows desktop version of firefox that doesn't get the keyboard to pop. That behavior isn't limited to Firefox, but also to some of the other desktop browsers.

    Did some quick test, IE doesn't~

    MS office(word) does
