i was just wondering if it is possible for XP and vista to both use the same hard drive space, so i wouldnt need to install some programs twice. I know for linux i was able to do this, i just had 3 partitions (two root partitions where the actual OS goes, and one home partition where all my files went)
I would like to try XP on my machine but i really dont have much room and would like to avoid reinstalling all of my programs and avoid writing over linux, but the only way i can think to do this would be if they could use the same HD space...

some apps would be able to support it; some won't due to registry entries. Even when sharing the "data" area, some files couldn't be deleted (changed) when under vista or xp, depending on how the corresponding files were created in the first place
cheers ...
personal note: i found that the danasoft.com on any sigs is a bit rude. It was impolite and kinda in the face to users. Even though it would not make any impacts (so they claimed)!
vista and XP using the same HD space?
