just installed vista and since doing so when i use fn hotkeys it doesnt display any graphic to show the settings change.

before i was using xp and when i would change the brightness it would show the levels graphically.

anyone know if i can turn this back on with vista?

What kind of computer are you using?

I know that for those graphics to show up on my Dell, I need to install Dell Quickset.

Personally, I've chosen to not reinstall Quickset to help reduce the number of processes running. I do sometimes miss the volume change graphic, but not enough to make me install another application.
