I am planning on buying a T61 with an advanced docking station. The docking station has a pci express slot for another video card. I was planning on getting one so i could use 3 19 inch lcds. In a review for a video card a guy claimed that vista only allows for 2 of the same video card.
Here is his review:
"Image looks fine on my 3 ViewSonic 902b monitors. I dont need speed, just a decent video card for working graphics. I was running one Radeon X300SE pci express and one Radeon 7000 pci video card for my tri monitor setup in XP. I installed vista on my machine and couldnt get 3 monitors working. I found out you must run the same driver for both video cards in Vista so I had to purchase an additional Radeon X300SE pci express to replace the Radeon 7000. Now I run 2 Radeon X300SE cards in my pci express slots."
Is this true? if it is my quadro 140 and the graphics card i buy wont work right?

what do you need 3 moniters for? CAD?

well...i really wouldnt say its a matter of need. But it would be really sweet! I just thought it would be real nice for college typing papers and researching and what not. I am using 2 right now and am loving it so i just thought a third one would be even better. I always have 3 19 lcds already.

If you get the three to work try out UltraMon to span the wallpaper across all 3 desktops or have 1 wallpaper for each desktop. I like that program a lot, even for my 2 monitors.

ive never heard of ultramon. Ill try that for my current setup. Yeh i just though 3 would be auwsome and would obviously be helpful. PLus i could expand to 4 later if i wanted!
