    vista desktop background

    in vista when you go to the desktop background where you choose your wallpaper, it used to show pics of all the photos there. now it is just a generic icon for wallpaper,sample pictures, pictures, etc. how do you get it to show photos again.

    I have tried to set it to open with paint, windows photo gallery and even some photo prograams i downlaoded. nothing works.

    even using paint,you still set background

    I can set the background, I can't see the pictures (thumbnails) so if i want to set the wallpaper i am doing it blindly.

    i would check the folder options to see if u turned off something relating to display pictures

    in explorer use Organize (top left) > Folder and Search Options > View (top) > uncheck Always show icons, never thumbnails
