Hi, I'm trying to give vista shadow copy 2gb's maximum of space to use
    I have sp1
I have tried to use the command prompts commands from websites, but as soon as I enter them, the box closes
I need as close to exact commands as possible
    thanks

Start > All Programs > Accessories > Right-click on "Command Prompt" > Run as Administrator

    Then type your commands:
    vssadmin
    vssadmin list shadowstorage
    ...

lol. i would assumed if he "read" how to do it, that he ran it as admin. like it says to do
but ya that could very well be the problem lol.
    ;x

faster way: press start orb>type 'cmd'>right click>run as admin> then do it

Yes, you are seeing the "box go away" because you are typing the commands into the "Run" box, and they are not meant to be run this way. You need to open the command prompt as administrator first, as swarmer says here, then type the commands into that box. You will be able to see any errors and the "box" will not go away.

If you have shadow storage disabled, it will not work. Please post the answer to this question from pixelot:
