ok guys, im having some screen tearing whenever i use vlc media player and only when i set the video files on full screen namely 1080pi and 720, lower than that i don't get any screen tearing, when the 1080 and 720 videos are reduced to windowed mode, no tearing, it only happens on those two given resolutions when i do a full screen (transitional tearing if i could identify).

now this is what i have as of now.
    all drivers (literally) are updated.
im using vlc version 2.0 (tried to rolled back on 1.1 but no change)
in the nvidia driver, vsync is (always) forced on.
refresh rate on display is 60hz, corresponding to other refresh settings.
vlc settings is currently on default mode.
even at switchable graphics mode (intel chip) i still have tearing (intel driver also updated btw)

the thing i really liked on vlc (aside on its free) is its just simple, click and go or click and full screen in any format like .mkv or .flv files are just a jiffy. the other players that i have also like wmp, winamp and itunes has no tearing, but compared to the vlc click and go process i pretty much prefer vlc.

please help and advise, if things comes to worse im wondering if there is a player simple and fast enough like vlc (exlude wmp, winamp and itunes pls)

Is Aero enabled? Also, you could probably try Media Player Classic Homecinema or PotPlayer(haven't tried it myself, but I have heard good things).

thanks for the heads up namaiki, i forgot that i have a customized theme (Blade 2 theme) i switched back to windows basic, AW guise and normal AW theme and no more tearing even at 1080pi, seemed like blade 2 theme is buggy with aero. +1 rep :D
