hey guys, i just saw there is a vmware 7.0 which has some new features.

Now i wonder which one is better?

    vmware 6.5.3 (or 7.0)
    virtualpc
    virtualbox

i need the virtual machine for: running files which propably contain backdoors/viruses, testing apps, testing operating systems (mac osx, diff linux distros etc).

So i would need security (so nothing which i execute on the guest can effect the host) and also functionality with differen operating systems.

    Thanks :)

There is no "better" program. For your purposes, any virtual machine program will do. If you have other requirements, read about the features offered by each program.

for what you suggest of doing, have a look at sandboxie !!! awesome little app, just for doing stuff like that.
For the virtual machines, i prefer VMware

Running Mac OS X on PC hardware would involve violating the EULA for the OS, and so cannot be discussed any further as per forum rules.
