Hey, I was cleaning up my laptop using adaware and spy bot. As well, i went into the msconfig to disable startup items that werent necessary. Anyways my laptop doesnt have standby/hibernate options anymore. Its not even listed on the power managment options... for example when i close the lid, the only thing i can either select is "do nothing".
what can be wrong? I dont want to reformat my laptop just yet..

    Thanks for any help :)

Adaware and most other good packages like it, make a backup so that if something goes wrong you can undo it. One by one turn the stuff in msconfig back on, but I don't think the R40 has anything in there that will turn off the power management.
