hello! im attempting to back my files onto DVD's and yesterday, i stopped it so i dont have to burn when i travel to school. and just a few mins ago, i tried to continue burning. and it said please insert disk 18(my last disk burned yesterday) so i did and it says its not formatted, which i find odd. so i click ok, format it and it thinks for a second and gives me the same exact message. i stopped last nights burning when CD#18 was supposedly completed so i got #19 ready today but was surprised to see #18 requested... whats going on!? i cannot back up to an HHD... DVD's seem to be my only immediate choice.
here are some pix of what i'm experiencing...-for reference, the time is displayed...

try restarting your computer? may have to do with when your paused it or something, or the discs not being rewritable after a second time
btw, hi neighbor, im from Flushing, NY too -
Have you tried inserting a different DVD?
-
-i restarted my baby before i started to burn yes. i have never encountered a pause button which i would love to have because it may take quite a while especially if using dvd/cd. yes, the dvd are not rewritable. they're just plain cheap DVD+R. my dad said not to waste the DVD+RW cuz he use's it to record sports and whatnot.. and that they're more costly.
or
a different DVD brand or whatever no.
