    can anybody tell me if its possible. compac c700 i wiped hard drive with sys. mech. should i go with bigger hard drive or reload this one

    Welcome to the forum! Verify what brand of HD you have, go to the manu.'s site and download a tool to check it out.
    What size drive do you have and what OS do you plan to install?

    2007 models, I would stay with 120Gig drive with faster speed (7200rpm) than risking going with a larger drive size and not be able to access it all
