I need a video player software. I was using GOM Player but I started not to like it anymore.
So there is what I need:
    - a light player
    - subtitle support with some advanced settings (like synchronizing)
    - a nice GUI with minimal aspect (I like less and bigger buttons)
    - I will use Core codecs with it (because it can use nVidia CUDA)
    - to be fully compatible with Vista 64-bit

That's all I need. So, is there such a software? :) Thanks.

Windows Media Player 12. It can use the GPU directly without using the core codec.

    How?

Have you tried right clicking the image?
    (During a video)
    It should allowyouto get subtitles.
    (Windows Media Player)

If you want to load a subtitle file (.srt), you can't do this in WMP 12. The subtitles should have been embedded in the video already for WMP to read them.
You can try VLC player, Media player classic, etc (Google is your friend). Why don't you like GOM player?

VLC Player is the best Video Player for me because it is FREE and EASY to use.
The downside of this software is the GUI is ugly.

As for Audio Player, Winamp is the best for me.

Come on guys, what the heck?
The best free video player is, without a doubt, KMPlayer.

It's a free player from South Korea, it's got more configuration options than any other free player I know.
It will even play the codecs that have not been invented yet.
Ok, skip the last part but still, it's awesome.

Check it out, Timewriter; the latest test version 1435 can be downloaded here.
The latest stable version is 1434.
Also, check this KMPlayer forum thread on AVCCore and CUDA.
Just make sure not to install the optional Ask toolbar which has recently been added.
    Cheers and enjoy.

I like the JR Media Center. Might be overkill for you (and it costs $50-) but there is nothing that it's can't do in terms of media and home theater.

I second KM Player, without a doubt the best player out there. I've tried VLC, COM, WMC w/ CCCP and KLite, and KM Player still takes the cake. Plays any file I throw at it, even 1080p MOV's. Great interface, I really like 'Shade' mode.

If you watch anime CCCP with CoreAVC is the way to go. The default player for CCCP is Media Player Classic Home Cinema and they chose it for a good reason.

I mostly use Windows Media Player and VLC. Very simple programs and I have never used any other media player software. The one that Baserk mentioned seems really good. I might try out the KMPlayer.

Well, thank you all for your opinions!
I've finally found one by myself.
It does everything I wanted and it's even free. More details here: http://www.mirillis.com/splash.html.

How is the Splash player any different from WMP 12?

Well, first of all, it does support all subtitle files, if has DXVA, internal codecs for most known formats, and the rest... I don't know. I just like it. And it's light.

For me its just much better, but honestly I hate WMP. In Splash you can choose if you want to decode with dxva or not, user experience is better and I find it faster to open and start playback. I stick to Splash for HD playback. My fav player so far.
