    where can i find the windows build in partition manager in vista basic?

    Its not in partition manager.


    1. Click Window Key + R
    2. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
    3. Locate the following registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
    4. You will find the windows build there under the Build key

    if you right click Computer and click manage, it'll be there. But I'm not sure if this is available in Vista Basic.

    it is in vista basic..but anyways if i want to merge the partitions back and put them back into one with this how do i do it?

    click on the 2nd partition and format it, then "extend" the partition you want to add the space to.
