Umm, somehow I accidentally deleted the icon for the recycling bin. I right-clicked and tried to clean out my recycling bin and must've hit some other option or something.
Anyways, i would like to know how to get it back as I am very partial to it and its properties.
I can still delete stuff and I can live without a recycling bin, but I'd like to have it back.
Any suggestions?

1) Right click the Vista Desktop
2) Click on Personalize
3) Select: 'Change desktop icons'
4) At the Desktop Icon Settings, place a tick next to: 'Recycle Bin'. -
Right-click on the desktop and look under 'Arrange icons by'. Do you see 'Show desktop icons' with a check mark next to it?

OK, don't panic derlin. I already did all your panicking for you when I got a little trigger happy and did the exact same thing you did. This is what I did to fix it:
First, open My Computer
Then go to "Recycle Bin"
Finally, Click and drag the "Recycle Bin" icon to your desktop
Hope that helps.Last edited by a moderator: Feb 6, 2015 -
