Please advise on where to find cheap and legit "xp pro oem" software.

I've come upon a place called "edirectsoftware.com" selling "xp pro oem" with comparatively low prize. Is it a legitimate software retailer? I've checked it out at BBB and found out that it's a non-member but haven't had any complaint the last several months. Have anyone bought anything from this company?

Bottom line, how can I find out whether an internet software company is legit or not?

The cheapest is at $70~ or so, try eBay or Amazon for unopened boxed versions or OEM versions

The one my friend bought for $10 at Soho sure wasn't legit, but it works.

Also, if you are in University/College or know someone who is, they can buy Edu copies for a discounted price

NewEgg.com carries the OEM versions, but will only sell them with hardware (contractual requirements, you see).

Yeah, I once bought an OEM XP Home from CompUSA. I had to buy some hardware to get it. I bought a $1.99 USB cable, which they assured me was "100% Win XP compatible"... ;)

How do you get the EDU copies? I go to UBC... never really looked into it or knew you could get cheap copies for being a student.
