hi. i have the lastest flash player from adobe.com installed. i checked it in the add-ons too.

when i go to sites that require flash, it says i need to install it. why is this?

i'm using latest IE with a fresh install of vista.

This happened to me as well.
I had to download the uninstaller from www.adobe.com, completely uninstall, then reinstall.
I haven't had the problem since.

For many, that will continue to happen. They will go to the site and, once again, it will say that flash needs to be installed. Need to ask...Exactly what sites are affected? (lmao)

So, heres what you do and its guaranteed to work.

    1. Download the latest version here and save to your hard disk.

    2. Exit your browser; .

    3. Unzip and Install the Flash you saved.

    4. Restart your browser.

    Voila!!!

Baby this one's worth tons...sweet tip!!! Do you know how long it took for me to figure this out? Weeks 'n weeks!!! I call it the porn fix.

Why don't you just follow flamenko's tip? Also i recommend you still download firefox, even if you just want to try. It's worth it.

I'd say download Firefox, IF you want a second grade browser.

    Opera ftw!

Let's not push this OT now, i was just suggesting he use Firefox because i think that he should try it to see if he likes it better than IE. Just trying to spread the word.
